We’re proud to announce that Dr. Dobri Kiprov, founder of Global Apheresis, will be speaking at Longevity Global’s 2026 Brain Optimization Summit on October 11, 2026 in San Francisco.
His talk, “From AMBAR to Brain Fog: Therapeutic Plasma Exchange in Neurological Disease,” will explore how removing inflammatory and harmful factors from the blood may support brain health across a range of conditions.
What Dr. Kiprov will cover
Alzheimer’s disease and the AMBAR trial. AMBAR (Alzheimer’s Management by Albumin Replacement) was one of the largest randomized clinical trials of plasma exchange in neurology. It found that therapeutic plasma exchange with albumin replacement slowed decline in patients with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Kiprov will discuss what the trial showed, what questions remain, and why it matters for the future of brain health.
Multiple sclerosis. Plasma exchange is already an established treatment option for severe MS relapses that don’t respond adequately to steroids. Dr. Kiprov will discuss how decades of clinical experience in neurology inform current thinking about TPE.
Long COVID and “brain fog.” Many people living with long COVID describe persistent cognitive symptoms: difficulty concentrating, memory lapses, and mental fatigue. Emerging research is examining the immune and inflammatory factors that may drive these symptoms, and whether plasma exchange could play a role. Dr. Kiprov will share where this research stands today.
Brain aging and longevity. Finally, Dr. Kiprov will connect these findings to the broader science of aging, including growing interest in how the composition of our blood influences how our brains and bodies age.
